There are some very interesting things going on in the vaccination world. They could make a large difference in the numbers of people who catch the H5N1 virus if it turns into a worldwide pandemic. First, I must warn you that vaccinations in general are very controversial. There are many doctors who have various opinions about specific benefits and possible detriments to an H5N1 vaccination. Some reports warn people to avoid certain vaccines for fear of death, seizures and more. Could there be a danger to people not vaccinated who come into contact with people who are vaccinated? Does the vaccination really work for everyone or are certain groups of people like young children and the elderly left out?

"Observational studies have greatly exaggerated vaccination benefits in the elderly," Lone Simonsen, PhD, of George Washington University said on October 28, 2008. She was a National Institute of Health senior scientist and wrote a controversial paper challenging flu-mortality estimates concerning the elderly back in 2005. One question that needs to be answered is, will some of the doctors who are urgently trying to solve the problem actually cause it? We all know how people and scientist LEAN experiments unconsciously to prove their theories. Experimentation with deadly viruses could be dangerous. The possibility does exist that a mutated pandemic H5N1 virus could be released on the world unintentionally.

Prior to these developments most experts believed that an effective vaccine would take about four to six months or more to develop. This would be after the mutated strain starts killing people. Even then, the total numbers of vaccines would not be near enough to cover the whole world population. I’m not sure this is still not the case. I think there’s a little wishful thinking going on. The most effective treatment to this date for people who catch the H5N1 virus is the oral antiviral medicine Tamiflu (oseltamivir) and Relenza.

However, starting with the season 2007-2008, the, the World Health Organization (WHO), reported oseltamivir was resistant to H5N1 viruses in a number of locations. They included nine out of 18 European countries they surveyed. Read about the mutant swarm which is explained in the free H5N1 manual. It is the reason why vaccines have a hard time coping with the mutations that will surely occur in a severe bird flu pandemic. "In the last year or so we have seen a massive increase in seasonal flu resistance to oseltamivir," said Dr. Jeremy Farrar of the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit at Vietnam’s Hospital for Tropical Diseases. "In Ho Chi Minh City at the moment, 60% of seasonal flu isolates are drug-resistant."

International flu experts believe that the WHO should give "urgent consideration" to the idea of helping the body prepare in advance of a pandemic with a special vaccination. The purpose of a pre pandemic vaccination is to build or PRIME the immune system to better stop infections from the H5N1 flu virus. For best results people should have a vaccination shot before the World Health Organization (WHO) declares a bird flu pandemic. They believe it is possible to prepare the body before a new mutated virus shows itself to the world. There would be a secondary vaccination which they believe could reduce protection time from six weeks to only ONE WEEK. This time differential could save many lives. It would also save a lot of problems with arranging a necessary second shot after a pandemic has already started.

The problem with this suggestion for the masses is that it is intended initially for people in necessary positions . They include people with the greatest risk of infection like laboratory and healthcare workers. However, if the virus gives us a break and delays its attack, then the group thinks national governments should think about adding the procedure to their annual flu vaccination campaigns. This way people could prepare in their arms when they get their first vaccination before the pandemic starts. There are important things people should think about when getting a vaccination during a pandemic.

1. I believe that any vaccination program should occur between waves of intense flu activity.

2. I would not want to attend a vaccination session inside a hospital where many bird flu patients could exist. Remember, the wave of intense influenza activity could be over but the hospital still could have some influenza patients waiting for help.

3. I would not attend vaccinations where there were large crowds or people crammed in a small room together. An intense wave of intense influenza activity could start at any time, so stay cautious at all times.

4. I would attend sessions in the out doors, with small crowds spaced at least three feet from each other.

5. Hopefully everyone in line has a face mask on.

6. You may have to make the decision to have the whole family come out of their self-imposed quarantine to get the vaccination.

7. You should be aware that someone could catch the virus from the environment surrounding the vaccination process and pass away before the vaccination can help them out.

8. Hopefully, vaccine organizers will realize they can reduce crowding by extending sessions over time and days and not try and cram all the vaccinations in one day.

It will be vitally important to know what is going on in the vaccination world on a continuing basis. Obviously, this is an area that can make a HUGE difference in you and your families survival of a pandemic. We will definitely keep a close eye on all things in this arena that can help the people who follow http://birdflusecrets.com/ and http://flustop.blogspot.com/
