How you think could help you Win SWINE Flu related problems.

A focused winning mental attitude is a key component to surviving a swine flu pandemic. A worldwide swine flu pandemic will test your state of mind. If you are generally a happy and positive thinking person great. You will need that attitude to be successful during this difficult time. That's if everything else is equal and we all know things are never equal.

History records frequently humans being put in severe survival situations and many times we come out of it SMELLING LIKE A ROSE. There are specific reasons why these people are able to beat the odds and survive while many others do not. The "ART OF SURVIVAL" is to do what is necessary to get through that event that is threatening your existence. Right now we're talking about a swine flu pandemic but we could easily be talking about anything in your life that threatens your way of life.

I'm not suggesting you do anything unlawful and actually I recommend the opposite. Stay a good citizen but do what is legally acceptable to get the job done. As long as you can stomach what you have to do, and that will depend on your personal believes, the sky is the limit.

One of the first things that you must have control over is not caring what other people think about you. In most societies people limit themselves greatly because they have to stay in line with the other people. In a survival situation you must break that chain as quickly as possible and focus on what you need to do about that obstacle in front of you.

To survive is to have a strong desire to make it through the barrier. It is a strong state of mind without room for maybes. You are going to be creative and positive and the only thing you can see in front of you is success like a race horse with blinders on.

OK, what if you are unsuccessful and pass away? How do you want to leave this earth, striving for yourself and family helping them make it through this time with a GREAT EXAMPLE or like a negative force pulling them into the pit of oblivion with you? Instead of your family saying mom or dad would have thought of something and that's what we need to do. They may not have the mental strength to survive the situation.

You know yourself and you're not a positive person what can you do to help everyone in your self-imposed quarantine? You must understand what it takes to survive in difficult times. NEGATIVE thoughts will doom you and everyone else.

I suggest you practice some
mental strengthening exercises in your self-imposed quarantine. Two very good exercises come to mind and they are self hypnosis or hypnosis and self relaxation. These exercises can help relax you and build a positive response to difficult situations in your life.

I'll briefly explain how to do self hypnosis or group hypnosis. Get all participants to sit in a comfortable chair and close their eyes. Do not lay down because you don't want anyone to go asleep. Then say your feeling very relaxed in a soft low tone and your body feels like it is sinking into the chair you're sitting in. You have a great imagination and you can vision and react to anything that I describe. You don't have a care in the world. You feel like your floating on a thick heavy cloud high in the air without a care in the world. Your body feels very heavy and it is sinking down deep into the chair and your feeling fine, relaxed. Imagine you’re in an elevator and you're starting on the 5th floor and you notice the dark blue color of the carpet, the rails, and the carpet is thick and nice as you relax even more. Now the elevator starts to move down and you relax even more you’re on the 4th floor going deeper and deeper in relaxation as the elevator slowly moves down, now you’re on the 3rd floor and you are so relaxed, slowly the elevator is moving down and you’re on the 2nd floor even more relaxed without a care in the world.

You're now in a movie theater and you're the only one their sitting in the chair. You look at the movie screen and it is blank. The movie comes on and you feel so relaxed just sitting there and you notice a sign on the movie that says in big letters let go r-e-l-a-x you feel great. The word relax is slowly blinking on and off as you relax deeper. Take a deep breath and exhale slowing releasing the air from your lungs and your body relaxes even deeper. Now I'm going to start at 10 and count backwards to one and by the time I reach one you'll be completely relaxed. Ten you feel great relax deeper, nine going deeper into relaxation, eight take a deep breath and exhale slowly and relax deeper, seven deeper and deeper, let your mind drift and relax six deeper, five heavy and relaxed, four going deeper and deeper, three no worries, two let go, one you are completely relaxed. Make sure to speak slowly and pause after certain statements so that the person hearing your descriptions can respond to them properly.

You do not need to repeat all of the phrases for more than a few minutes you'll be surprised how quickly people will go under. Then feed their brains with positive ways to look at the situation and life in general. For example you could say, we all will find a way to think positively and confidently about the things that happen to us today. We realize that by being strong in our mind we can survive anything that may occur and we all pledge that we will pursue our goal today with as much enthusiasm as possible. Do not use the negative to motivate. For example, do not say we will not be babies or weak, etc. But use words and phrases like we will survive and thrive! Only do this for a short period of time. You don't need to go on and on with this. Then tell them that you're going to count from one to ten and when you reach ten they will awake fresh, alert and ready to tackle the day or something of that sort.

Relaxation Exercises are great for helping people relieve built up stress and great for the mind as well. Tell everyone to sit in a comfortable chair and close their eyes. Start with the feet and say become aware of your toes and feel them relax, nice feeling in a soft and low tone. Now think of the soles of your feet and feel the relaxation go from your toes to the soles of your feet to the heel of your foot. You feel a tingling sensation in your feet and it feels great as your feet relax deeply. Now become aware of your ankles and you feel them both relax deeply. You notice the wave of relaxation go from your toes to the soles of your feet to the heels and up the ankles as your feet relax. Now notice how relaxed your calf's feel. Remember to say these things in a slow and relaxed way yourself because your voice is relaxing the person listening. Now notice the relaxing feeling traveling from your toes to the soles and heels of the foot to the calf's and let your lower part of your legs relax. Now notice how relaxed your knee’s feel also feel how the biggest muscles in your body the thighs start to relax and you can feel your toes all the way to your thighs relax. Relax all of your lower body including your feet, ankles, calf's, thighs and bottom. Make sure to speak slowing you’re not in a hurry. Let people feel the relaxation in each part of the body before continuing. After you talk about a body part or area, pause so they can isolate that area.

Now feel your stomach and start to relax the muscles in your lower back. Feel the relaxation travel from your feet to the calf's and thighs to your bottom and your stomach area. Now feel the relaxing feeling in your upper back and shoulder blades. Feel your upper back and shoulder blades relax. Now feel the relaxing feeling travel down your shoulders and into your arms to your fingers as you notice the tingling sensation in your finger tips. Feel your lower back relax and that feeling moves up to your shoulder blades and down from your shoulders down past your forearms over the backs of your hands and into your finger tips. Feel the tingling sensation in your finger tips. Notice how your chest starts to relax and you feel great. Start to relax all the muscles in your face, and imagine how your face would look if it was completely relaxed. Then think about relaxing your head, feel the tingling sensation on your scalp, face, and your neck, chest and back. You are now completely relaxed and ready to face whatever.

This was an abbreviated description and therefore doesn’t hesitate to make your sessions longer and more descriptive. The idea is to start at the toes and then connect each part of the body as you move upward to the waist area. Do the bottom half first connecting all the parts then the top half and remember to continue to connect all the parts.

I suggest you get the people together in your self-imposed quarantine to do these exercises as a group. This will build camaraderie and insure that everyone is going in the same direction. You can mix it up one day relaxation and the other hypnosis exercises. It would be a good idea to strongly encourage these exercises with maybe different people heading the sessions to increase commitment. It will only take a few minutes daily to complete and I believe the rewards could be substantial.

These exercises will help people when they encounter all the stress and fear that they will surely encounter as the swine flu pandemic continues. Without question our minds are the strongest weapons we have to control the virus along with proper preparation. Also, remember that our attitude controls our mind.

Tell everyone in your group not to fear embarrassment because of a bad suggestion. You will need all the creative suggestions possible to do things easier, quicker, and cheaper. Do what the situation calls for. That might mean being patient or being decisive. The key is to determine what will work in that situation and do it. You've got to fight frustration and negative thoughts. If you are doing something unsuccessfully, stop readjust and start again. Being persistent has a way of winning many battles.

What does your face say about your frustration? If you show disappointment, people watching and depending on you will also become frustrated and loss faith. When a setback occurs, calmly review your alternatives and how much the event will truly affect what you want to achieve. Look at all your positives and rethink what you have to do to make up for the loss. Then communicate if necessary a positive way to move forward. You must do this with confidence and a smile to encourage the others in the group.

On occasion a problem will appear that you know how to handle but will not because you're not comfortable. Do the smart thing and forget about your comfort. That simple thing might make a huge difference. After you turn it into a habit, you might like it more. Sometimes waiting too long to do something you should have done long before could be very damaging. The delay could cause you to lose a valuable opportunity. You must be quick or slow depending on the situation. Don't be afraid to experiment. Experimentation is necessary. Make a diary of yours and others creative thoughts and why they are improvements over some way you were doing it before. You'll have plenty of time to analyze everything that you need. If you are wrong, don't let it bother you. No ones perfect and humans learn most things through trial and error. Make a good effort, and make that all you need to be successful.

Physical strength or size has nothing to do with survival in many cases. What a person has between the ears is what's important. How you respond to certain things is likely more important than what actually happened. You've got to control your fear because if you don't it will only make things worse. Think out the situation, be logical, and positive. That's the only way to maximize and improve your chances of success. When you have a small set back, don't blow it out of proportion. For examples let's say your tying your shoe and you break the string with no matching replacement. No big deal so you're not fashionable that day. By the end of the pandemic, you'll be accustomed to doing what is necessary without hesitation. The key is to accept and adapt as quickly as possible and you will see that nobody really cares anyway and if they do too bad.

Let’s say a big problem bothering you are loud noises coming from somewhere you’re not able to control. Many people will loss hours of sleep threatening their alertness and health. When someone suggests that they use earplugs, many people will reject the idea because it is uncomfortable and they’re not used to it. If you allow it and almost any other thing you need to do to become a habit, it becomes embarrassingly easy to do. There is usually a trick to making it work, like I said before there is an "ART to EVERYTHING." The trick here is to make sure that the ear plugs are absolutely clean every day. If you allow the bacteria to build up, it might infect your ears causing discomfort.

Save your concern for the really big things that might happen like someone stealing your food and water or someone robbing you on the street. Remember there will be many desperate people everywhere. If someone steals your food and water, you really have a problem. That's why I suggest you buy long-lasting survival food that is much smaller, lighter and takes up less space than regular food. Look over the e-book I provide that teaches you how to hide food and water so that you don't have to worry about an intruder taking all of your FOOD AND WATER.

If something major happens to you, you might panic and that's the worst thing you can do. Recently, a group of supposedly experienced climbers was in a panic situation on one of the highest mountains in the world. Ice started to break and people started running in the wrong direction to their death. When you are in a situation that causes you to panic. Stop and think the situation over before you react. Hopefully you'll have time to reason things out. It's essential that you try and think out a course of action that will logically allow you to survive and in most cases you'll come up with a solution.

Do you remember that scene in Alien 2 where the soldiers were sent to another planet to investigate the problems from the first episode? When the soldiers realized that the aliens were serious killing machines, one soldier panicked and started screaming something to the effect "we’re all doomed and we have no chance." It was kind of funny how this guy just lost it and of course the person in charge of the troops stepped in to control the situation. That negative attitude happens often in difficult situations and will appear in various degrees in many panic situations. There will be many challenging situations that we all will need to handle and some on a daily basis. The situation will disguise itself and show when you or your group becomes frustrated about anything not going your way.

Again, the first thing you have to do is stop and analyze the situation. If it is a severe disappointment, and someone loses it, then control the immediate situation and the undisciplined individual. Then, talk with the person who did not handle the disappointment gracefully in private. Tell then how bad it is for the rest of the group’s mental attitude and that they must control themselves. Tell them that you know that they can do it and how you will depend on them to help support the group. Then you and the rest of the group need to brain storm and come up with a solution to the problem.

I guarantee you there are many solutions that will not be immediately apparent. You and your group must be creative, logical and positive. You’ve got to have faith that you will find a good solution. No matter what even though there may not seem to be a way to beat the situation, believe there is a way to get around, go over or under it. Maybe the answer will be to downgrade the situation to something that’s not necessary and move on.

You will win many battles and continually other challenges will appear and cause you to again repeat the above process. Initially, a problem will cause you to pause and adjust to it. You and the group’s mental attitude will probably dip but that’s only because it’s a new problem. After you work with it with a positive mental attitude, you will feel much better about it later after you and your group creatively think about solutions.

Can you imagine two equal fighters in a match and one doesn't think he can beat the other? What do you think, will happen? You're right 99% of the time the fighter with the negative attitude will loss. The world has huge upsets all the time. If the under dog truly believes they can pull off the unbelievable, it can happen. Remember, the totally unexpected win by the New York Giants over the unbeatable New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. Do you think that the New York Giants thought they could win? You BETCHA, I absolutely believe that they knew they would win that game.

Survival situations love that
STUBBORN guy or gal who refuses to quit and will continue until they win. I'm not quitting ARE-YOU-KIDDING-ME. I'd rather die than admit I'm going to lose! That positive stubborn mentality in this situation will allow you to find a way to survive.

You need to set goals and be creative or simplistic or complex whatever is needed to achieve your goals. As part of your mental exercises with your eyes closed, see you, family, and, or associates enjoying combined success. You can taste the champagne or cheap wine as it goes down your throat. Remember when the times get really tough this attitude is extremely important. If you weaken for a short time, you could fall victim and leave this world unnecessarily. The worst thing is your mind could have caused your loss not the situation. In survival situations thinking positive is the key to win the game.
